Mr. John “Johnny” Cruz is a 2016 VCU alumni who studied Classical Guitar Performance underneath the guidance of John Patykula. Mr. Cruz has been sharing his experience in guitar pedagogy direct from Andre Segovia since 2016. Over his six year of professional serve, John has accomplished a significant roster of students ranging over 5 instruments at The Music Tree School of Music. Through his musical instruction, his students have been accepted into university programs across the country. At Hunter, Mr. Cruz is excited to create new musicians and future professionals who understand the value of self-discipline and cooperation. By his measure, these traits guarantee success in overcoming future obstacles. Mr. Cruz looks forward to his guitar instruction encouraging students to create harmony with one another, themselves, and with God.
