Mrs. Kat Cornett earned a Bachelor of Elementary Education at Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She taught for two years in Texas in both public and private institutions. While her oldest 2 children were growing up, Kat homeschooled for seven years. Later she served as a substitute teacher in York County and also a Richmond area private school. In the classroom, Kat loves to teach in a way that her students begin to recognize how God reveals Himself to them through the Bible, His personal letter to all, and through everything they study. Kat’s husband, Gene, is a pastor and together they have served churches for more than 30 years. Together they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Kat enjoys reading books about World War II, as well as books by and about both C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. She also loves leading her women’s discipleship group at church, vacationing with her family in the mountains, and visiting her family back home in Kentucky.
