Mrs. Nancy Godfrey

Mrs. Nancy Godfrey received her Bachelor of Arts from Sweet Briar College. She worked for UVB/Crester/SunTrust Bank in various positions for 18 years before “retiring” to stay home and raise her children. Most recently, Nancy has worked at Redemption Thrift Store, which raises funds to support the Center for Christian Study ministry and outreach at University of Richmond. Nancy was active in public and private school parent organizations as her own children went through their schooling. Over the years, observing changes in the schools her children attended, she became an advocate for classical Christian education as the best environment for nurturing academic, character, and spiritual growth in children. Nancy was also involved in supporting The Hunter School in the early years of its founding and is excited to be a part of this special community once again.

Nancy and her husband, Clark, have been married for 34 years and are currently empty nesters. Together they have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. Nancy is a homebody at heart and enjoys recreational time with family and friends. She loves cooking, yard work, exercising, and taking walks with her husband and their dog, Nova.
