Mrs. Krista Manuel

Mrs. Krista Manuel earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude, from Mary Washington College with studies in Elementary Education, Studio Arts and a minor in Music Performance. She also holds a Master of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond and is an ordained minister. Krista has over twenty years’ experience working with children, teaching Sunday School, Bible School and has served as an Associate Pastor for Children and Family Ministries in several local churches over the past 15 years. She participated in a teaching exchange program with Robin Hood Primary School in London, England and taught public school in Hanover County. Krista loves to help children discover the joy of learning through children’s literature, hands on creation and play. She also enjoys helping kids grow in their faith identity as Children of God, inspiring awe and wonder as they discover their unique gifts. Krista is also a concert Cello player having performed at Carnegie Hall, and was a Children’s Program Director for Norwegian Cruise Line. Krista loves everything purple, reading books, going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with her husband N.W. and two boys Bryan and Joshua and their pet turtle. She is excited to be a part of the Hunter family!
