In addition to her passion for music, Mrs. Crabb loves ancient languages - Latin, Greek, and Hebrew. She studied college-level Latin in high school and won 3 gold medals on the National Latin exam. While still in high school, Sallie Penn had the opportunity to serve as a student teacher for beginner Latin classes. She went on to study New Testament Greek in college. Sallie Penn lives in Richmond, VA with her husband, James, and three young children, Alice Lee, Edward, and Charles Wesley. While not teaching music or Latin at HCCS, she can be found swimming her heart out at the pool early in the morning. She loves anything having to do with the color pink, cows, beef, water, and sunshine!
