Mrs. Ginnie Schaffner

Mrs. Ginnie Schaffner earned her bachelor of arts degree in psychology from North Caroline State University in Raleigh, NC. While specializing in child psychology, she combined her passions for Jesus, children, and horses by developing the youth program at a non-profit equine therapy organization over a span of three years. She adored nurturing children’s natural love for creation to connect with God and seek healing. From there, she moved to Colorado and served at a 4 diamond rated guest ranch and resort for several years. She wore many hats at the dude ranch, including the director of human resources. However, holding the title of children’s program director was the greatest privilege and joy. She strived to show kids the love of Jesus every day through adventure and kindness - especially on the back of a horse!
Although she was not originally expecting to move back to Virginia, Ginnie is returning to her childhood roots in Richmond because the Lord beckoned her towards a teaching position at Hunter. In her free time, she loves being around family, horseback riding, and playing volleyball.
